St. Croix Legend Elite Fly Rods

High quality American made rods at an attractive price!

Performance doesn’t always have to come with a top tier price tag, nor does American Made! We have been carrying the St. Croix Legend Elite for a few months now, and fishing them since last year! These are very well made and excellent all-around fly rods. Coming in at a price tag of $595 it’s surprising how well these rods fish. With the average price of “premium” rods now averaging $1100+ it can be a hard pill to swallow at that cost. I’ve spent A LOT of time with these rods from local fishing to Montana and down on our hosted Chile trip, these rods have been a go-to for me.

There are three things that stick out to me about this rod: 1) The all-around action. Big water, small water, wind, etc. The Legend Elite pretty much does it all. Are they as light or as smooth as an $1100+ rod, no. But at the mid-price level it’s pretty damn good. 2) The components / finish. Clean, simple, and well done. I love the aluminum hardware on the reel seat and the cork grip is quality. 3) Made in the USA. It’s getting harder to manufacture competitively priced rods in America, but St. Croix is still doing it!
