Fall Guided Trips!
Sean Visintainer - 10/02/26
Enjoy the last best weeks of the year!
Grande Ronde - We are in our 17th season of guiding the Grande Ronde and while steelheading has its challenges we hope to continue showing guests a great time in a beautiful part of Washington. Kenyon Pitts and Sean Wonders are changing things up for steelhead trips this season and are running swing-only Grande Ronde trips. Why? Well, numerous reasons, but the main one is we feel we could reduce our impact while still showing anglers a good time and pursue steelhead the classic way, with a swung fly. Yes, like any fishing enthusiast we enjoy racking up numbers, but this isn’t the year for that.
If you have ever wanted to try swinging for steelhead give Bo Brand our Guide Manager a call 509-924-9998 and get on the schedule. Our trips will likely not extend past October as the weather / water is too unpredictable. Note - no weekend availability.
Spokane River - Fall on the home water is a special time. The bigger Redands come out from hiding, the inner tubers are gone, fall colors are starting to pop, dry fly fishing continues, and fishing is very consistent. Insect hatches see an uptick during fall too. October caddis are present, and a mottled caddis we refer to as “fall caddis” will hatch. As cooler weather sets in the blue wing olive activity increases along with midges. Trips on the Spokane River are very ideal as fall strengthens and the days shorten, the float is perfect for optimizing the best time of the day.
Give Bo a shout for the latest availability. We run trips until the weather doesn’t allow us to comfortably go!
