Summer Start

Get after it

Summer is settling in nicely and fly rods are getting bent on pretty much every body of water nowadays. With healthier flows than in years past we are going into the heat of summer in better shape.

Lots of comments here in the shop lately about the water being too high still... well it's not what we have come to expect anymore with low water years so "normal" summertime spots may not be AS accessible currently. These flows are very, very fishy however. Trust me, they are not too high.

Rivers like the Clark Fork and Yellowstone River are fishing now even after the flooding from last month, I was in Yellowstone over the 4th and all the rivers on the way over were fishable.

We are in that sweet spot right now before the dog days of summer where air temps, water temps, and water levels are all optimum. I suggest you make the time to go fishing NOW!
