Scott Ross

North Idaho Fly Fishing Guide

Growing up in Alaska gave Scott the opportunity to fish rivers that many dream about. He spent many years roaming around the Kenai Peninsula for salmon, dollies, and large rainbows... if he only knew what he knows now about Alaska and fly fishing he may have never left! Scott has seen about every state in the country and his family finally settled in North Idaho in 1992, since then he has been exploring our nearby waters and knows them extremely well. He remembers what Coeur d'Alene and St. Joe Rivers were like before catch and release regulations and is excited to see what they have become.

Currently when Scott is not guiding he is the principal of Ponderosa Elementary School in Post Falls. Working in the education world helps translate to a very patient guide with the ability to teach anyone. Scott enjoys his days off with wife Liz and their four kids doing what any fly fishing guide does best... fishing!
