A Spokane native, Jesse Retan's passion for fly fishing started in 2010 after inheriting his grandfather's fly gear and with that the desire to chase fish. Fly fishing took over as one of his greatest interests, sending him down the rabbit hole of learning and practicing various styles of fly fishing from small streams to carp flats and everything in between. There isn't a fish or waterway he won't explore! His enthusiasm and understanding of fishing has led him to the Silver Bow as one of our excellent Spokane River guides and shop crew. As the head coach for the Spokane Sounders Soccer Club Jesse's ability to teach fly fishing and help anglers become successful is truly a gift. When Jesse isn't fishing, guiding, coaching, or in the shop you can find him running, biking, camping, and exploring the region.
