- The Fishing- The Spokane River continues to plug along as one of the better fall fisheries as others start to get too chilly. Warmer water temps thanks to our aquifer and top spill dam out of Lake Coeur d'Alene wlll keep its temps more stable than other fisheries in the region. Currently the mornings are a little tougher, but dredging with nymphs and streamers can find some fish. Afternoons can still be fished with chubbies (not for much longer) and a dropper nymph (caddis pupa, jig prince, perdigons, etc). Also, blue winged olive mayfly hatches have had fish up looking for emergers and dries in the afternoons as well as fall caddis hatches.

Call us to book a fall float and experience some of the best fishing of the year! We go until the snow flies!

- The Fishing- Definitely still some opportunities to be had here on the Norh Fork of the Coeur d'Alene for the next week. I would expect mornings to be slow, but afternoons will pick up. For dries it will be more of small fly game... bwo's and midges. Maybe a fall caddis or random October caddis out still. Fall colors are in full effect. Look for calm pools to be where it's at. Of course nymphing with small tungsten patterns like pheasant tails, perdigons, spanish bullets, and midge pupa patterns will work. Streamers are also worth fishing.

- The Fishing- The St. Joe River is hanging in there with the nicer weather we have had. Mornings are a slow start but afternoons you can have some decent fishing. Nymphing definitely with smaller patterns (perdigons, small pt's, small caddisp pupa, zerbra midges, etc) will be good starting points. In the afternoons you can have some dry fly fishing with bwo's and midges and possibly a few October caddis. Bring emergers tho, fish can be pickier this time of the year with low/clear water.

- Miscellaneous
- The Fishing- Not a whole lot to report as the season is winding down. Still have some lake opportunities on late season lakes but not much for reports.... most folks have been hitting moving water and steelhead fisheries.
- Steelhead Rivers
- The Fishing- Grande Ronde / Snake - a good week overall from steelhead land. Catch rates have picked up as the month has progressed as well as fish willing to eat a swung bug. The Snake and mouth of the GR has been well. Shumaker and Boggan's up to Oregon are putting out some fish too. For swinging it's going to change to more of a sink-tip game now that temps are cooling off, at least on the upper GR. The Snake and mouth of the GR being warmer will play the traditional / dry line game longer.

Clearwater River - we really haven't had any direct reports from here this past week since our last update, but there is no real reason not try or for it to not be fishing well. If you don't go then then you will never know!
