  • The Fishing

Good times on the Spokane River this past week from our guide crew. Fall colors are starting to show up along the banks and bigger fish have been on the prowl. The big chernobyls with droppers will get it done still, October caddis and bwo's can be on the menu. Good streamer and soft hackle fishing for you swingers out there. Water levels have come up slightly which is a huge improvement.

Call us to book a fall float and experience some of the best fishing of the year! We go until the snow flies!

  • The Fishing

Good fall fishing continues on the North Fork of the Coeur d'Alene River. You can still use some terrestrials but definitely pack your fall bugs like October caddis, mahogany dun mayflies, and blue winged olive mayflies. Toss in a few caddis as well for fall caddis. The biggest thing about fishing the NF CDA in the fall is the water is low from summer so you just need to focus your efforts on the deeper pools and runs. Good time to be out with fall colors starting to show!

  • The Fishing

Get your fall fishing fix in while we got it! We still have a few weeks left but we really are in the peak of it right now. Terrestrials might buy you a fish, we did have good reports of beetles producing well this past week. Definitely bring your October caddis, mahogany duns, bwos, and fall caddis. Great time to go out!

  • The Fishing

Still good fishing on the North Fork of the Clearwater and Kelly Creek. Mike from the shop fished here last weekend and said it was very good. Caddis, October caddis, and other patterns like purple haze all produced. Streamer fishing is great this time of the year too.

  • The Fishing

The Grande Ronde and Snake Rivers are starting to kick out some fish this past week now as we enter October. While the water is low, it is cool and fish will continue to trickle in. The system did get a little rain Monday night which helped flush some fish in and shuffle them around. Kenyon has been been picking up fish fairly consistently on his first guide trips of the season.

The Clearwater is well... the Clearwater. It can be the best returning run in years and it's still a fickle bitch. Yes fish are being caught here, but with flies it's one here and there nothing crazy as usual.
