I was out fishing the Spokane River this past week with Kenyon. Fishing was typical for a summer day, not red hot, but consistent enough to keep your head in the game.
As we drifted along, usual discussions of tactics, flies, good fishing locations, etc filled the morning hours in between fish.
During the topic of fly patterns Kenyon nonchalantly said...
"The best fly pattern is a good drift."
I'll leave you with the thought.
