Classic Spey flies for steelhead and salmon are often considered works of art. They are constructed with rare or exotic materials and may take hours to tie one fly perfectly. Dave Tucker is someone who has mastered the art of tying these exquisite classic flies. With over 40 years of commercial tying experience, years of guiding waters like the Grande Ronde and Owyhee River, plus numerous articles in various fishing publications and even some tying awards, to say Dave Tucker understands fly design and tying would be an understatement.
We are fortunate to be able to have Dave come down to the shop next month and teach a Spey and Dee Fly Tying Class. This one day course will be held in the upstairs loft of the shop and is limited to six students to ensure that everyone gets plenty of assistance. Students will be supplied with materials from Dave and the shop so you don't need to worry about rounding up some obscure feather. We will also have materials used in the class for sale afterwards.
This class will more than likely sell out so don't wait to sign up!
