The best time of the year to fish
There is life before June. In my opinion some of the season's best fly fishing takes place before June on the nearby NF Coeur d'Alene and St. Joe Rivers. Temps are more comfortable, hatches are at their peak, rivers less crowded, and the bigger cutthroat are on the prowl from a long winter.
For many though fishing prior to June isn't even on the radar. Crazy, I know. Spring for me is a very optimistic time of the year after the long dreary days of winter and I look forward to this fantastic time of the year.
For this North Idaho Presentation we will focus on the first 5 months of the year on the NF Coeur d'Alene and St. Joe Rivers and what to expect for hatches, flows, conditions, fly patterns, and more. If you don't spend much time fishing this time of the year this presentation is a must.
