North Idaho Fly Fishing

A little of everything

March wrapped up with some classic spring like weather yesterday, a little overcast, a little wind, a little warm, a little cold, a little rain, and a little sunshine to cap off the day. Yup, that is spring in the Spokane / Coeur d'Alene region. A little of everything.

For those that got out Saturday they experienced more consistent weather and some decent fishing on the Coeur d'Alene and St. Joe. Yesterday's weather was pretty variable so fishing was more miss than hit. We floated the Coeur d'Alene River and found a few willing participants on indicator rigs, but overall it was a little slower. I'll blame it on the spring weather, cuz no good angler can blame themselves.

Overall the last week the fishing was pretty good, this week we will have to see what happens with rain in the forecast it could get a little more snow melt going. We will keep you updated on the reports page if the rivers are fishable or not.
