Secluded Fly Fishing on Private Water
Like to avoid the crowds? Like big fish? Jon Allan from the shop has 3 memberships open for the 2015 season at Babbitz Lake. Babbitz is just a short drive North of Spokane and is an approximately 11 acres in size. The lake is home to healthy rainbow trout, brown trout, and even a few brook trout. After ice-off in the spring the fishing picks up with good hatches of chironomids and callibaetis. As temperatures warm, the damsel and dragon fly activity will keep the lake going for the remainder of the season. Buggers and leeches are also always good searching patterns too between hatches.
Membership is limited to 12 anglers per year. Each member is allowed to bring one guest per trip. The lake is idea for float tubes, pontoons, and small pram style boats (electric motors okay). There are 3 spots open for the 2015 season (ice-off through fall). Cost is $400 per season.
