Spokane's Premier Fly Shop Since 1988

That's exactly right! Silver Bow Fly Shop is Spokane's oldest fly shop, opening it's doors in the late 80's, we have been talking fly fishing, selling gear, and making fish nervous longer than anyone in town. Our goal since day one has been simple... to help anglers fish better and to share our knowledge. There shouldn't be any secrets when it comes to the sport of fly fishing and for us we want to see anglers improve their own skills and knowledge so that they too can enjoy their time spent on the water.
To help anglers enjoy their time on the water we have carefully selected the brands and types of equipment that we think are the best at doing that. All of the brands that you see in our fly shop or on-line store are not only brands that we stand behind but are brands that stand behind us. With more gear options than ever and more places to buy fly fishing equipment from, the Silver Bow Fly Shop will only carry gear that we fish. If we wouldn't fish it, it isn't sold here. Period.
Rest assure the gear that we carry gets tested often! The gear junkie staff at the Silver Bow Fly Shop has fished locally and abroad. So whether you need help with local lake fishing, tarpon in Florida, rainbows in Alaska, or steelhead on spey rods chances are one of us has been there or fished for it so we can help you choose the right fly gear and point you in the right direction. We believe time on the water is important in helping our customers with their gear and fishing decisions, that's why you will find that all of the staff here at the Silver Bow Fly Shop fishes.... a lot!
Fly fishing for us is not only a business but a lifestyle. When we are not on the water fishing or guiding you can find us loitering around the shop. Learn more about the fish crazed staff of the Silver Bow Fly Shop below.

The Staff
Sean Visintainer - Owner/Guide
While the shop's slogan may be "Making Fish Nervous Since 1988", Sean has been making fish nervous since the day he was born. Fly fishing has been his passion and lifestyle since he was twelve years old. Sean started working at the Silver Bow Fly Shop in 2002 and soon purchased the business on August 31st of 2005. Despite being young Sean has spent more hours on the water than most people do in a lifetime. Honing his skills on the nearby trout streams of Washington, Idaho, and Montana Sean has traveled to other reaches of the world in pursuit of steelhead, bonefish, tarpon, permit, and large trout. While he may always be a trout bum at heart Sean can regularly be found with a spey rod on the steelhead rivers south of Spokane.
In addition to running his fly shop, Sean guides for steelhead in the fall and winter months on the Grande Ronde River and teaches numerous clinics on all aspects of fly fishing. Sean is also a member of the RL Winston Rod and Scientific Anglers Pro Staffs.
Jon Allan - Shop Manager
Despite trying to quite numerous times Jon is the "wise old man" that keeps the shop running. Jon has been there done that... fly fishing for most of his life Jon has spent many days on local waters and abroad. When not trying to hook a tarpon in Florida or Belize Jon can often be found taking a nap while chironomid fishing on a nearby lake in his Clacka Mini Drifter. Jon's fishing prowess is second to none and can swap fishing tales with the best of them. Jon manages all day-to-day operations of the Silver Bow.
Angela Morgan - Sales / Guide / Instructor
Angela shares our same passion and lifestyle for fly fishing and brings a women's prospective to the plate. In addition to making fly fishing and rivers her passion, Angela has been guiding fly fishing and whitewater in central Idaho for years. She can not only row the biggest whitewater around but also jam out some tight loops with her spey rod for steelies, so listen up guys when this gal is giving you a fishing report!! If you ever get a chance to do some overnight steelhead trips with us you can also enjoy some of her award winning dutch oven cooking. Angela teaches numerous classes at the Silver Bow as well as guides trout and steelhead.
Britten Jay - Sales
If you think you have a lot of flies! Britten's collection of trout flies will give any trout bum a run for their money! You will see Britten in the shop when he is not teaching the youth of America or chasing trout around the West.
